There's something I have to tell you. Despite my healthy diet and lifestyle, I am prone to stinky arm pits. At least I use to be until I discovered essential oils. I stopped using chemical deordorants and antipersperants in 2004 after learning how toxic they are to the body. I then spent the next 8 years trying different "natural" options only to end up skunked before the day was done. I want to shout this from the roof top: essential oils kill body order!!! I wish someone had told me back then.

A key factor in keeping body oder at bay is not allowing bacteria to thrive in those warm, moist areas. Essential oils are perfect in this arena because most of them have antibacterial properties and a delightful scent of their own.

The list I have compiled is of oils that have superior antibacterial properties AND are suitable to use as deodorant.   Antibacterial oils to use as **deodorant   *** antibacterial       + also antifungal

Basil **, Orange **,  + Chamomile Palmarosa, + Clary Sage, Patchouli, ** Peppermint, + Coriander,** Petitgrain, Cypress, Ravintsara + Eucalyptus**, Rosemary, + Geranium, *** ++ Rosewood, *** ++ Grapefruit, ** Sage, + Lemon, ** Sandalwood, + Lime, ** Spearmint, ++ Melaleuca Alternifolia, ***  ++++ Citrus Fresh M.  Quinquenervia  *** ++++ Christmas Spirit Neroli Melrose +++ Ocotea Purification,  R. C. This is not a complete list of antibacterial oils.  I left off the "HOT" oils like oregano, thyme, clove, Thieves, etc.

In the process of discovering essential oils I have learned a tone about all of their other uses and benefits too. I've slowly become an essential oils junky. It cracks me up because everywhere I go people ask me what I'm wearing. Even my next door neighbour wondered what kind of detergent I use because she said our sheets smelled so good on the line. She didn't believe me when I told her we use scent free Earthberries. I realize now she was smelling the essential oils that I've been using.

If you would like to learn more about the magic of essential oils, please check out the upcoming lecture with Barney Kuntze at Good Energy Studio.
